We are dedicated to supporting small-scale family farmers raising heritage livestock on pasture. Because they are committed to responsible, sustainable stewardship of our planet and humane raising and handling of livestock, they cannot rely on the commodity market for sales because their animals take too long to mature. That’s where we come in.
We believe in the nose-to-tail philosophy, which is why we use heritage pork – every part of the pig is used. On our end, Zeigler’s Sausages utilizes all of the heritage pork trimmings, which offer a delicious ratio of fat to meat. Heritage genetics are famous globally for their gastronomic attributes and the pork we use is pasture-raised on a vegetarian diet, antibiotic-free, using traditional farming methods.
