Zeigler’s Sausages is a SoCal family-owned purveyor specializing in heritage pork sausages. Our meat is sourced from small, family owned farms that specialize in heritage breeds and advocate for animals to be sustainably raised: open pasture, free of antibiotics and growth hormones. Our sausages are nitrate and gluten free, and contain no MSG.

My name is Helki and I’m the owner and Chief Sausage Engineer (CSE) of Zeigler’s Sausages. I was a senior level marketing executive for more than 15 years, most recently at a software organization. Although I had some great experiences, I was starting to feel bound to a life that was compromised. Uninspired. Boring. I decided it was time to hang up my corporate hat to pursue my passion in food. My parents had a small sausage company while I was growing up (Distinctive Sausages by Zeigler); so I took their recipes, gave them a modern twist and Zeigler’s Sausages was born.

Why Sausage?


I grew up making sausage; my parents were the founders/owners of Distinctive Sausages by Zeigler, based out of Seattle, WA. My dad was mentored by Rytek Kutas, who is the well-known author of what many consider to be the “bible” of sausage making.

As it turns out, I also have a passion for making (and eating) delicious sausage, and I knew that I could offer an artisanal product that was a step above the rest. Zeigler’s Sausages only uses the best cuts of meat – specifically, pasture raised heritage pork – mixed with our proprietary blend of spices. Our sausages are free of hormones, antibiotics, MSG, gluten and nitrates. Zeigler’s Sausages are crafted with a love and care that you can taste.

    Coming Soon! Bold with the flavors of Mexico, this south of the border specialty is one of our absolute favorites. Its intense flavors wake up the taste buds without overwhelming the palate. Remove from casings and cook in a skillet or pan fry links. Serve scrambled with eggs, as a substitute for ground beef in tacos, burritos, chili and more.

    This is your quintessential morning sausage, perfect alongside pancakes or stacked with a fried egg on a flaky biscuit. A twist on our original Fresh Breakfast Sausage, we added Grade B Vermont Maple syrup for a not-to-sweet, but incredibly delicious flavor. Try it with some Siracha for a spicy kick.     We offer a fennel-based Sicilian recipe that is sure to please the most discerning of palates. With just the right amount of heat, this sausage is great on the grill, servedin a soft hoagie bun topped with a strip (or two) of mustard, sautéed onions and green peppers. Used on pizza or added to your favorite spaghetti sauce or pasta dish, the possibilities are endless.
